Relationships are everything - let’s cherish them more

We all live in very busy and hectic times. I personally feel there is so much going on in my life at the moment, it is very easy to get overwhelmed. There are a lot of loose ends, sad news and uncertainty that can really make one anxious and on edge. in those times, having close friends around us and a solid network of support is absolutely essential. The problem is, that very often, during times where we are on edge, we value relationships less, don’t open up as much, are moody and generally can cause more harm than good with others. Let’s therefore learn to cherish relationships even more during those times.

Having a lot of things going on in your life generally can be a good thing as it gives a sense of purpose and makes us feel productive which many of us like very much. However, it is important to open up to others about it and not have the idea of needing to go it all alone. This is where relationships come into play.

Relationships can help us to talk about our emotions and feelings and let off some steam in order to be less stressed or anxious. They can also help us get support from people close to us that can take some of the burden off our shoulders. Thee is really no point in trying to do it all alone - we need to learn that it is ok to ask for help. For some this can be painful and difficult but it is not a sign of weakness but of strength in difficult times.

Relationships can also help us to switch off to take a break from the repeating thought patterns in our head of all the to dos at hand. Italy is on to take breaks and to just switch off. All of us need a timeout sometimes. Relationships to old friends or family can really make a big change here.

Relationships are therefore our biggest asset in crunch times. We need to make sure we get support form people close to us and fill up our batteries with positive emotions. It will help share the burden, connect and just make us feel comfortable that we have that super portable we need now in our life:

So go out there and build relationships - they are our biggest asset. Often we only know that, when we have not cherished them for a while.
