Celebrate important moments in life - you deserve it!

We don’t hear this very often - take your time. Our day-to-day routine is very often just the opposite. We are sprinting from one appointment to the next, have busy work schedules full of meeting and sometimes even get overwhelmed with the simplest things. However, it is important that we take timeouts, that we take time to especially celebrate moment of joy with people that are important to us. It will give us happiness and strengths for the stressful times to come.

For a lot of us, it is very hard to do this thought. It is of course not that hard to book in holidays into your calendar - but just going on a holiday does not mean to really switch off. Switching off means, while travelling not to check on email, not to constantly think about the office and what major crisis our colleagues might have to deal with in our absence. It means really being in the moment with family and the people around us. Using all our senses to fully experience places and take our minds out of our work or stressful daily life in generally.

Switching off and taking timeouts therefore really is an art and comes down to the mindset. We need to understand that those times are essential for us and that we can allow us to not always keep up to date with the latest. It is ok for us to relax and just enjoy life for a little while, without running to the next appointment or answering the next urgent email.

While we are switching off fully, we can celebrate our wins and reflect on our achievements to make us feel even better. We came so far in life and taking ourselves out of the situation in the form of a break, however long, can help to build out self-confidence by celebrating important moments as well as our achievements with loved ones. We should take our time to celebrate, to enjoy - as we never know what happens next. Constantly living a busy live can make us anxious and ultimately sick - for example, if it lead to a burn out.

The great thing is, once we mastered the art of celebrating life and taking true time outs, we will find a balance between juggling our stressful life and enjoying moments of inner peace. Living those moment to the fullest will make us more resilient for the stressful times ahead again at some point. We also have to stray true to ourselves, as all of us have different thresholds of resilience and how much stress they can take. Listen to your inner voice and when it is time for that timeout or break again - just take it and celebrate it – but really try to switch off. As mentioned before, it is ok to switch off and nothing to be ashamed off, we all need a break sometimes to come back even stronger.

Celebrate your moments of joy and happiness in life, you do deserve it and experience them to the fullest by truly switching off. It can both be long and short breaks even sometimes only meditating a few minutes can already have a major impact. It will make us happy, balanced and lead to a more fulfilled life. It will also make us cope with stress better. Therefore, learn to truly relax and celebrate life, it is an art to learn but gives you a lot of reward once you go there.
