Your best will always be enough

The new year has just started and for many of us a new year is also always linked to new opportunities that unfold on many fronts. Many might think of a career change or other transformations in their life. When we face those changes, and I am very guilty of this myself, we are always very tempted to have self-doubts. Questions arise such as - are we good enough? Are we not overwhelming ourselves? Should we really go for this new thing in our life or is it not better to leave everything as it is and not even try? Well, it is certainly easier but without trying you will never know. Once thing to always keep in mind if you are unsure and uncertain in times of change - when you give your best - you always give enough. If things still don’t work out – you have nothing to blame yourself for.

This is an important concept to understand. Very often things don’t work out, besides us trying hard. Like we really wanted to get that new job, but someone else just got it in the end. Those experiences can be less demoralizing for us, if we understand that we can only give our best, always and everything else is out of our hands. The one who therefore gives their best is never in the wrong and should not be suffering from self-doubts or bitterness when things do not go according to plan – it happens in life, and we will and need to get over it and move forward.

Giving your best is never too little. What this really means is to always try and give it your all. Go in completely and to the fullest or just don’t bother and try. It is a decision to make but if you decide to go for that change in your life this year, give it all you got. Be motivated, work hard, and even if in the end you might just not get the desired result, at least you gave it your all.

With that in mind, what are you really waiting for? Embrace the new year and your goals and make sure if you go for it, you give it your all. The ones that give their best always gives enough. Make sure you remember that. Of course, it is easier and more comfortable to leave things as they are, however you might not end up happy with this approach. If you give it your all - you won’t feel bitter or regret.

If we understand this way of thinking, we will become more open to change and growth in the long term. We will be less scared of not being successful and will learn to find ways of coping with failure in a much better way. This already, will lead to growth and personal development by constantly trying to expand our comfort zone. Give it your best and you are never wrong. Do what you can directly influence to the best of your abilities, the rest is destiny and down to external influences.

Overall, embrace the new year and its opportunities. Be open for change and not afraid of failure. Give it your all and you won’t feel regret. Give it your all and you will always give enough. Your all is all you can give - the rest is down to others. If things then don’t work out, get up and try again, you have nothing to loose and only opportunities waiting for you out there.
