Make time for mindfulness - it will be worth it 

We all have very hectic lives where it feels like you are trying to juggle thousands of things at the same time. Very quickly, that can feel overwhelming and that we don’t have time to do anything right. What can really help is build in mindfulness into our everyday routine. Those few minutes a day of calm and d just being with our thoughts over time can make a major difference.

When we say mindfulness, what do we really mean ? For start, mindfulness can really be anything we do to calm our mind, pause for a moment and just be with our thoughts.

For me specifically, this means, taking five minutes of my day, usually in the morning to tell myself a few positive sentences to tackle lack of self confidence or anxiety of not managing all my tasks today. When I sit down in a quiet space and tell myself the same positive words all over again I come out with a bank account full of positive energy, so life has to throw a lot at me before the balance turns negative again.

The idea here is to find out what really gets you to have negative thoughts a day to then actively work against them using mindfulness techniques.

Mindfulness however can of course also be taking time for ourselves and doing something we really enjoy. A walk in the park or a nice chat with a friend can all be mindfulness. However, I would still try and add meditation to the mix.

Whatever form of mindfulness works for you, it is just important to do some in whatever form, in order to not get overwhelmed and fall into a cloud of negativity. Life is full of ups and downs d downs and mindfulness can help deal with those in a much better way. Try it and see what happens.
